Steamed Chicken and Vegetable Tsukune
In this dish, I mixed the ground chicken with chopped vegetables. Instead of grilling, I wrap it in parchment paper and cook in the frying pan. It's just like Japanese-style chicken meatballs or "tsukune."
Background: It is one of the New Year dishes that I cooked for the New Year holiday last year.
- Ground chicken (200 g (7 oz))
- Carrot, mushrooms, and green onions (A little bit each (about one bowlful))
- ★ miso paste (1 tablespoon)
- ★ flour (2 teaspoons)
- ★ grated ginger (1 teaspoon)
- ★ sesame oil (2 teaspoons)
- Sesame seeds (a dash)
Mince vegetables and add ground meat, flour and seasonings. Mix well.
Wrap it in a baking sheet or parchment paper.
Pour a little water into the frying pan and steam for 10 minutes on low heat, flipping over half way through.
It looks like this when done. Slice into smaller pieces.
Serve on a dish.
